RTS’s Commitment to Security
Personal information is accessible only by staff and volunteers designated to handle complaints or requests. All RTS agents and contractors with access to personal information are also bound to adhere to this policy as part of their contract with RTS.
Personal Information that RTS May Collect
RTS collects the following types of personal information: names, age, birthdates, postal and e-mail addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, NRA membership numbers, youth affiliations, and complaint and inquiry information. RTS may also collect business information which might constitute personal information, as well as personal information from individuals acting solely in their business capacity.
RTS does not knowingly collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 14, and no part of our site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 14.
Personal Information that RTS May Collect and Delete.
RTS may collect billing information if it is provided over the phone or postal service. We do not keep that information. It is crisscross shredded and burned immediately following the billing process. We do not get or keep any billing information that is provided online or via the mobile credit card processing service. Their reports do not contain personal information to identify you or your credit card numbers.

If information is needed from organizations that you have recieved discounts from by association, such as the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), RTS will provide names, contact information, and cirriculum only. RTS research data will not result in the reporting or publication of any personal information. RTS never sells or rents personal information.
We will also release personal information under the following circumstances:
- Where release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation, or is requested by an agency for governmental investigative purposes or governmental proceedings;
- Where our records indicate a person/company may be engaged in fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of;
- To appropriate persons, where your communication suggests possible harm to others.

Computer Tracking and Cookies
Our web site is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by its visitors. Our site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our site. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
Our Web site also recognizes the online site where a visitor "clicks" on the Customer Survey, but we cannot identify the visitor or the visitor's address. Site information is used for review and improve of our training programs. No personal information is collected.
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. RTS does not currently use any cookies on our site. Any cookies we may generate to improve your use of our site will not generate personal data, will not read personal data from your machine and will never be tied to anything that could be used to identify you.
RTS may collect data from the device and application you use to access our services, such as your IP address and browser type. We may also infer your geographic location based on your IP address. RTS does not share your IP address with other parties. We may use this information for our own market research and in the development and deployment of services. Those services may include information on your general location but will not contain information personally identifiable to you.
RTS may use Google Analytics to collect non-identifying site usage data. To Opt-out of Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
