Safety is not a compliance checkbox at Rogue. Every technician, on every project, from first-day installation through final commissioning, goes home the same way they arrived.

OSHA Violations
E&I work carries real hazards — energized systems, classified areas, confined spaces, heavy equipment. We treat every task with the same level of planning and discipline, regardless of how routine it looks on paper. We do not accept pressure to skip steps when schedules are tight. A JSA takes ten minutes. An incident takes much longer to undo — if it can be undone at all.
Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)
Full written LOTO procedures before any work on energized systems
Individual locks — every technician carries their own, every time
Verification of zero-energy state before work begins
LOTO log maintained and signed off at task completion
Awareness training for techs working near energized equipment
Hot Work
Hot work permit required before any cutting, grinding, or welding
Continuous gas monitoring during all hot work in classified areas
Fire watch assigned and maintained for duration and cool-down period
Area inspected and signed off before work starts
Coordination with facility operator on permit issuance and isolation
Gas Detection
Personal 4-gas monitors required for all work in or near compression areas
Pre-entry bump test verified and logged at start of each shift
Calibration records maintained per manufacturer requirements
Clear alarm thresholds — work stops, area evacuated, no exceptions
Coordination with facility for classified-area entry
Fall Protection
Fall protection required at 4 feet or per site-specific threshold — whichever is lower
Harness inspection completed before each use
Tie-off points identified and verified before climbing begins
Aerial lift operators trained, checklist completed before each use
No improvised ladders or platforms; only rated equipment on the job
Tool & Equipment Safety
Insulated tools rated for electrical work on all E&I tasks
Hand tool inspection at start of each shift; damaged tools removed from service
Power tools GFCI-protected in wet or classified environments
No modified or field-fabricated tools permitted on any project
PPE matched to task — cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses, arc-rated clothing
Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
JSA completed before starting any new task or when conditions change
Developed by the crew doing the work — not imposed top-down
Each step reviewed for hazards; controls identified before work begins
All crew members sign the JSA and have the right to stop work
JSAs retained in project safety documentation file
Stop-Work Authority
Every Technician. Every Time.
Every Rogue technician has the authority — and the responsibility — to stop work if something doesn't look right. No explanation required, no pressure to push through. If the job can't be done safely, the job doesn't get done until it can. That's not a policy we wrote for a website. It's how our team has operated since day one.
